Questions about homeschooling in Georgia
Do I have to submit my test scores to the state?
No. You must administer the test and keep the results on file for three years, but you do not send them to the GaDOE.
Can I hire a tutor?
Yes. Parents may hire a tutor to teach their children. The tutor must also hold at least a high school diploma or GED.
Does my child need to take the Georgia Milestones?
No. Homeschool students take a nationally standardized test of the parent's choice, not the state accountability tests.

Which Waldorf curriculum fits your family?
Four questions: your child’s age, the time you have each day, how close to a Waldorf school you want to be, and what matters most. Your answers are matched against the 8 curricula in our comparison. Starpath is one of them and gets no extra points. The result shows on the page, and you can have it emailed to you.
Answer the four questionsDates come from published Georgia requirements and are not legal advice. Laws change. Cross-check with the official state source and our full Georgia guide.
