Questions about homeschooling in Washington

Does the 45 college credits have to be in education?

No. Any 45 quarter credits (or 30 semester credits) from an accredited institution will suffice.

Do I have to turn in my test scores?

No. You must keep them in your permanent records at home.

Can my child take classes at the high school?

Yes. Washington has strong 'Running Start' and part-time attendance laws allowing homeschoolers to access public school offerings.

Which Waldorf curriculum fits your family?

Four questions: your child’s age, the time you have each day, how close to a Waldorf school you want to be, and what matters most. Your answers are matched against the 8 curricula in our comparison. Starpath is one of them and gets no extra points. The result shows on the page, and you can have it emailed to you.

Answer the four questions

Dates come from published Washington requirements and are not legal advice. Laws change. Cross-check with the official state source and our full Washington guide.
