Microschools in Virginia

As of October 22, 2026, we list 13 microschools in Virginia. Each one was checked against its own website on the date shown on its page.

A microschool charges tuition, employs teachers, usually runs several days a week, and admits students rather than accepting members. You enrol your child and leave. That is the line between it and a homeschool co-op, where you stay and usually teach.

Learning at home?

Starpath’s Waldorf-inspired lessons cover grades 1 to 3, and grade 4 is being added. Sophie, a Waldorf class teacher, wrote the stories, verses and activities for each day. 14 days for $7, then $47 a month. Cancel before the trial ends and you aren't charged again.

Looking for a co-op instead?

If you would rather be in the room than drop off, a co-op is the other option, and it costs a great deal less.
